Ride With Andy 2026: What a Ride!
On Saturday 19 September, 25 brilliant riders took on the 54-mile journey from London to Brighton for Ride With Andy 2026, and what a day it was.
Starting at Holy Trinity Clapham, our riders made their way out of London and through the countryside before tackling the infamous Ditchling Beacon and eventually arriving at Sea Lanes Brighton for a very well-earned celebration by the sea.
This year’s group was a brilliant mix of abilities, from experienced cyclists to those taking on a challenge like this for the first time, with a few e-bikes in the mix too, which certainly came in handy when Ditchling Beacon appeared! Ride With Andy has always been about making the challenge accessible to riders of varied abilities, rather than being a race to Brighton.
And judging by the feedback, the atmosphere was just as memorable as the miles:
“I was buzzing the whole way back on the train. There was just such an aura of love and generosity that permeated the whole day I wanted to do it again on Sunday.”
We’re not sure we’d have been quite ready for another 54 miles the following morning… but we’ll take it!
Over £30,000 raised
Most importantly, thanks to the amazing fundraising efforts of our riders and the generosity of everyone who donated, Ride With Andy 2026 raised just over £30,000 for the Andy Taylor Foundation.
That money will make a huge difference to our work opening doors for young people who face barriers to careers in media and the creative industries, supporting programmes that provide training, paid work experience, bursaries, mentoring and valuable industry connections.
And that work feels more important than ever. With around one million 16–24-year-olds currently not in education, employment or training (NEET) in the UK, creating meaningful routes into work and giving young people the skills, confidence and connections to get started is urgently needed.
Every mile ridden, every donation made and every person who supported Ride With Andy is helping us create more of those opportunities.

A day like this simply wouldn’t happen without an enormous team effort.
To every one of our 25 riders who trained, fundraised, pedalled and kept each other going, thank you.
To our fantastic support crew and volunteers, who kept everyone safe, fuelled and smiling along the route, we couldn’t have done it without you.
A special thank you to our lead rider, Sara Leatherland, for helping guide and encourage the group, and to every friend, family member and supporter who cheered our riders on throughout the day.
We’re also incredibly grateful to Holy Trinity Clapham for hosting our start line and Sea Lanes Brighton for giving everyone such a brilliant welcome at the finish.

After two incredible years, Ride With Andy will be back in 2027, and we’d love to see some familiar faces alongside plenty of new ones.
