Challenge Andy Media Quiz 2026: A Brilliant Night for a Brilliant Cause

What a night!

In April, the Andy Taylor Foundation’s Challenge Andy Media Quiz brought together an incredible mix of people from across the creative, digital media and entertainment industries, all united by a shared belief in opening doors for the next generation.

Hosted at Channel 4, the evening was packed with friendly rivalry, plenty of laughs and some fiercely competitive quizzing, all while raising funds to support young people looking to build careers in the creative industries.

One of the highlights of the evening was seeing young people at the heart of the event. Digital Innovation Bursary students Ester K Hodzha and Rayyan Zulfaisal, and the Channel 4 apprentices joined industry professionals from across the sector, creating exactly the kind of networking opportunities and conversations that the Foundation exists to make possible.

James O’Brien interviewed Ester and Rayyan on stage to discuss their experiences and ambitions, providing a fantastic insight into the impact that access and opportunity can have. He also spoke with filmmaker Asra Hussain about her documentary series Discovering the Forgotten Half, a Foundation-supported project involving University of Warwick students and dedicated to uncovering overlooked stories from history.

Keeping the energy high throughout the evening were quiz masters James Loveridge and Wilf Duggan, who guided teams through a lively and closely fought contest.

We’re hugely grateful to the many companies that supported the event, including Banijay UK, C21Media, Calibre One, Channel 4, Fremantle, Global, Google Play, Hat Trick Productions, Klik Studios, Little Dot Studios, Royal Television Society, Sky News, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Talkback Thames, Tubi, YouTube and Zoo 55.

Congratulations to our 2026 winners, Google Play’s “The FAST and Curious”, who claimed this year’s title after a closely fought battle!

The funds raised will help us continue delivering bursaries, mentoring, work experience opportunities and industry access programmes for talented young people who might otherwise struggle to get their foot in the door.

A special mention also goes to Submarine Films for capturing the evening so brilliantly in the highlights video.

To everyone who joined us and continues to support the Foundation’s mission: thank you. Together, we’re helping create opportunities for the next generation of creative talent.
